Our Story
TMJ Spirit & Auxiliary was founded by CEO Terrance M. Johnson, a visionary leader with a passion for developing dancers and coaches through elite training and innovative choreography. For over 15 years, Terrance has traveled across the United States, providing private summer camp training for teams and coaches, refining his signature teaching style rooted in precision, technique, and show style performance.

As the demand for his expertise grew, so did the need to expand his reach. This led to the creation of TMJ Spirit & Auxiliary, a platform dedicated to empowering school and all-star community teams through high-quality summer camps, professional development, and national competitive opportunities.
Today, TMJ Spirit & Auxiliary continues to impact the dance world, shaping the next generation of performers and leaders with a commitment to excellence, innovation, and the rich traditions of HBCU auxiliary dance culture.
Our Mission
At TMJ Spirit & Auxiliary, our mission is to equip and elevate dance teams by providing high-quality training resources, performance materials, and competitive opportunities that enhance skill development for both dancers and coaches.

Each year, we proudly serve over 25 middle school, high school, and all-star community teams, impacting more than 500 individual dancers and 50 coaches & sponsors. Our programs are designed to refine technique, strengthen performance abilities, and prepare dancers for collegiate-level auditions, closing the gap in college readiness and increasing the success rate of dancers making HBCU and other collegiate dance teams.
